1. How do I join?

Contact us to be added to the membership wait-list. You’ll receive a confirmation within three business days and status updates until a spot opens. When invited, you’ll have ten days to submit household information, sign the bylaws acknowledgment, and pay pro-rated dues.

2. What’s the club’s address?

5407 N Bryn Mawr St, Ventura, CA 93003, walking distance from Ventura College. Visitor parking is available in front and overflow street parking is permitted on Bryn Mawr.

3. What are the pool hours?

Open daily 6 AM – 10 PM. Entering outside these times may result in immediate membership forfeiture. Note: during the winter we may have reduced hours to cut back on the heating bill – please keep an eye on our posted bulletins. 

4. Who qualifies as a “member”?

Membership covers people who permanently reside in the same household—spouses/partners, dependent children, and other legal dependents. Relatives living elsewhere require guest passes. Please read our rules for more information.

5. How many guests can I bring?

Up to four guests per day; larger groups must reserve a private party through property management, which arranges additional lifeguards.

6. Can I lend my key to a friend?

No. Key sharing is forbidden. First offense: $100 minimum fine; repeat violations cancel membership without refund.

7. What supervision is required for children?

Under 16 must have an adult present. Ages 7-15 may swim if a parent/guardian (18+) is on deck or a lifeguard is on duty. Ages 0-6 need an adult in the water and within arm’s reach.

8. Are alcohol, glass, or tobacco products allowed?

All alcoholic drinks, glass containers, smoking, and vaping are prohibited anywhere on the grounds. Violation triggers a $250 fine and possible suspension.

9. Is music permitted at the pool?

Yes—only through personal earbuds or headphones. Portable speakers are not allowed.

10. Can I run, dive, or do flips?

No running, horseplay, or acrobatic entries. Lifeguards may remove violators without warning.

11. What swimwear is acceptable?

Proper Lycra/nylon/polyester swimwear only. Thong-style suits or revealing attire are not permitted.

12. Do babies need swim diapers?

Yes. Non-toilet-trained children must wear a swim diaper plus a snug reusable cover. Change diapers in the restroom and dispose of them in sealed bins.

13. Are pets allowed?

No animals inside the facility, except registered service dogs on leash (lawn area only).

14. Where can I eat?

Food and sugary drinks stay at picnic tables or lawn areas; only water (plastic bottles) is allowed on deck.

15. How long may I shower?

Showers are limited to five minutes per person, immediately before or after swimming—no shaving or lengthy grooming.

16. What if I damage club property?

Members are financially responsible for damage caused by themselves or their guests and must pay invoices within 30 days.

17. Where do I park?

Use marked spaces while on site. Street parking on Bryn Mawr is allowed after 6 PM. Overnight parking or blocking driveways may result in towing.

18. Can I bring bikes or scooters inside?

No. Lock them in the rack behind the women’s dressing room. Riding wheeled devices on deck is unsafe and prohibited.

19. Who enforces the rules?

Lifeguards, the on-site manager, and board members. Their instructions are final; refusal to comply results in immediate removal.

20. What are the penalties for rule violations?

Fines range from $100 – $500 and may include suspension or permanent membership forfeiture, depending on severity and history.
